The Ivy Foundry in an independent type design studio based in Denmark. Always trying to add a purpose to the design and trying to unfold the spirit of the typeface.
The foundry takes its name from the fleuron—a glyph used as a punctuation mark or as an ornament for typographic compositions. It’s one of the oldest typographic ornaments, present in early Greek and Roman inscriptions. The fleuron is a stylized form of the ivy leaf.
Run by Jan Maack since 2016.
